Another ring from the Ming Collection – Second Edition, this piece features three thin ring bands topped with three delicate flowers. Unlike the first edition, these three flowers carry their own story.
Originally, they were created for a different project, but—like many of my experiments—it didn’t work out as planned. Instead of being discarded, the flowers waited patiently for their purpose, set aside until the right moment arrived.
Meanwhile, the ring band itself was born from an exercise in crafting different types of bands. Eventually, these two separate elements—abandoned flowers and an experimental band—came together, finding their place in this new design.
This ring is a testament to how creative journeys are rarely linear. Sometimes, elements meant for one project end up belonging to another, revealing their true purpose with time.
